Felm-Nepal is announcing job vacancies for following positions: 

DRR/Climate Change Officer (DRRO)

Vacancy is fixed term for one year with a possibility for extension.

As one of the largest Finnish civil society organizations working in global development, FeIm is a key partner organization for Finland's Ministry for Foreign Affairs. Felm's work aims to promote human dignity and justice around the world. In Nepal, FeIm is affiliated with SWC as Felm-Nepal. FeIm-Nepal works through local CSOs in the sectors of fields of community-based development, food-security, livelihood, WASH, mental health, disability, education and through human rights-based approach (HRBA) and result-based management (RBM). Felm-Nepal invites applications from qualified, motivated, and reliable Nepali citizens for the following positions with following qualifications and requirements:

Responsibilities:

Working under the supervision of the Felm-Nepal Regional Manager for Development Cooperation, DRR/Climate Change Officer is participating in monitoring and supporting the development cooperation's livelihood projects from the perspectives of DRR and climate change, as well as in building capacity of the local partners in DRR and climate change. (S)he is responsible for writing reports regarding DRR, climate change, livelihood, emergency aid and recovery aid to relevant stakeholders. 

Required Qualification, Knowledge and Skills: 

Bachelor or Master's Degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Environment or other relevant subject to above mentioned posts. Minimum 3 years working experience in development cooperation and INGO field, and experience in above mentioned areas. Good command of written and spoken English and Nepali languages, and MS office and data-management software. As approximately 25% of the working time will be monitoring projects in rural areas of Nepal, a willingness and physical ability to travel and work in remote areas required. The Officers will be part of Felm-Nepal's Development Cooperation Team. Ability and willingness to work in a multi-cultural environment as part of team, willingness to work with the values of FeIm and to establish effective working relationships both within and outside the NGO are needed.
